LOS ANGELES – Aerosmith is celebrating more than 50 years as a rock band with its final tour in a city near you.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group announced Monday the dates for their Peace Out farewell tour, which kicks off Sept. 2 in Philadelphia. The 40-show run ends Jan. 26 in Montreal, including New Year’s Eve in the band’s hometown of Boston.

On September 12, the band will perform at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. According to LiveNation’s Twitter post, the pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. local time on Friday.
Perry said the band, which includes frontman Steven Tyler, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer and guitarist Brad Whitford, has been performing since a recent stint in Las Vegas. Learned stage and production.

Founded in 1970, Aerosmith has won four Grammy Awards over the years. The band’s epic collaboration with Run-DMC, “Walk This Way,” pushes the boundaries between rock and hip-hop.

Aerosmith performed at halftime of the 2001 Super Bowl, even had its own theme park at Disney World in Florida in 1999, and later launched the “Rock and Roll Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith” ride in Paris.
“We’re opening Pandora’s Box one last time to show our fans the way to peace,” Taylor said in a statement to The Associated Press, referring to Aerosmith’s 1991 three-disc compilation Pandora’s Box, which covers the band’s work from the 1970s to the early ’80s.

The band said that Kramer has decided not to participate in the current dates of the upcoming tour. He’s still part of the band, but the drummer is taking a break from playing in Las Vegas last year to “focus on his family and health.” Drummer John Douglas will continue to play in his place.
Perry called Kramer a brother. “His legacy behind the drums will be sorely missed,” the band said.
“It’s the last farewell tour, but I have a feeling it’s going to take a while,” he said. “But I don’t know how many times we’ll be back in the same town. This might be the last time.”

Last week, a mysterious countdown clock on Aerosmith’s official website revealed some big news: the legendary rocker is indeed going on a farewell tour, confirming some of the rumors that have been circulating for the past few days.
As announced earlier on Monday, the Peace Out Tour celebrates Aerosmith’s history and legacy throughout their career.

Fans will see one of the most important American rock bands in history one last time on this unmissable final tour. Each night celebrates 50 years of Aerosmith’s breakthrough hits and 50 years as America’s greatest rock band.
In a statement, Aerosmith said: “This is not goodbye, this is the end of peace! Get ready, head this way and you will see the best show of our lives.”
Among the tour announcements was the notable confirmation that drummer Joey Kramer would not be participating. It is unclear who the band’s drummer is in the show.

Aerosmith has been in the news a few times over the past year, but not for particularly positive reasons. In May 2022, the band canceled some Las Vegas dates due to frontman Steven Tyler’s relapse and entering a drug addiction treatment program. With several dates canceled in December due to Taylor’s health, the band promised to see fans in the new year.

The woman filed a lawsuit against Taylor, claiming she had an underage relationship with him in the 1970s, and accusing the singer of “sexual assault, sexual abuse and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
