Martin learned to solo Another Girl Another Planet at the age of seventeen, so he ended up performing with a bunch of older guys in a band called The Cosmic Outbursts, so Mr. Perry is a big influence on the young Mr. c.

Neocon 2023 Showroom Tour
They were such a hit that soon after, Martin invited JP to join the Daintees as a special guest at a sold-out concert at Chelsea Under the Bridge in London. John joined the band on stage for a deafening version of “Another Girl…”, a tribute to The Only Ones of The Daintees.
This evening of music inspired Martin to create a platform for John’s sublime guitar playing called New Wave Connection.
During this process, in the spring of 2022, JP&MS took a break to make a short tour of Ireland to Dublin, Dundalk and Thurles.

After returning to the UK, Martin recruited his neighbor Davy Cowan (a legendary mountain troubadour) on bass and his 18-year-old son Sam on drums; these two are perfectly matched with MS and JP and the vibe is good….
John recently appeared as a special guest at Martin’s gigs in Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Swansea, Cardiff and Bristol, where the New Wave band gathered live for the first time to sell-out houses. This July school break, hands will be clapping and clapping to a mega medley of Dorothy’s dance hits!
