With the band’s first four albums alone, Il Divo’s live concerts have sold over two million copies worldwide. On their first world tour, concerts in 69 cities in 18 countries were sold out.
Il Divo was the brainchild of Simon Cowell who, after joining the Three Tors team, was inspired to create a multinational quartet of young singers to recreate the quality of Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and Plácido Domingo. Cowell searched the world for young singers willing to take on the project between January 21, 2001 and December 16, 2003, when Miller was signed.
The album was released on 1 November 2004 in three countries: UK, Norway and Ireland. In the first few weeks, the band reached double platinum in Norway and Ireland.

Il Divo was released in the fall of 2004 with the single “Regresa a Me” and debuted with their debut album of the same name. The band recorded the music video for the song in Slovenia.
