Grammy-winning gospel artist Jonathan McReynolds released his new album “My Truth” on February 17, 2023 with a track list of twelve songs. At a recent private show in NYC, Jonathan discussed the meaning of “my truth” and had some wishes come true: “My truth is that I’m a child of God, I’m a child of God. He loves me, he’s proud of me, he praises me on the wall like I’m one of his favorite pictures. Jonathan McReynolds was raised by a single mother in Chicago, Illinois. He started playing the piano at the age of 8. Inspired by gospel artists such as Israel Houghton and Kim Burrell, he used his voice to serve the Lord for his congregation. He continued his education and earned a bachelor’s degree in urban and folk music from Columbia College, allowing him to practice his craft while learning the production and business of the entertainment industry. At a young age, he worked on some songs and created a CD called “The Very Unofficial EP”, which he gave to family and friends and posted on Facebook, which made a big splash online. His song was picked up on a local radio station and he was soon signed to Light Records.
