Frost narrowed his opening night lead to an 85.5 point lead at No. 2 Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribirão dos Indios, Brazil) at the PBR Pendleton Whiskey Wellcity 2023 Tour Final presented by Chevy Dealer Coastal Bend. the match after he beat Sugar Smack (Julian Cattle) in 3.57 seconds.

While Montanha also finished in the top 10, he was nowhere near the No. 1 spot. 1 Frost in the second round, with Chuck (LH Cattle Co./Sho-Me Rodeo) battling it out in 6.22 seconds.

As the final lap of the race progressed, Frost clinched the title as Montanha held off Ah Hell (Cooper/Scruggs Bucking Bulls) for 8th place in 3.31 seconds.
With the title in hand, Frost exploded in the top flight (Hale/Berryman/Nuckols/Hart) but was unable to finish the season with a decent run, hitting the ground in 7.34 seconds.
Finishing sixth overall in the event, Frost earned Velocity Global’s 55 points, 113.5 points ahead of No. 2 Montanha Jr. for this year.
A Champion Of 2023 Pbr Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Has Been Crowned
With the honor of becoming the 2023 PBR Velocity Tour Champion, Frost earned his second straight qualification to the PBR World Finals, set for May 12-21 at Dickeys Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
Frost will join PBR Pendleton Whiskey Velocity 2023 Speed Tour Finals Champion Joao Lucas Campos (Porto Felice, Brazil) in bull riding’s most prestigious event in 2023.
For Campos, the event marked a first on American soil. In 2017, the Velocity Tour Finals marked the first appearance in the United States of two-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Lee (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil), setting up a career that continues to break PBR’s book records.

After being quickly beaten by Fearful (CO Cattle Co./Bob Whisnant) in Round 1 in 3.3 seconds, Campos was sensational in Round 2, scoring a high against Homegrown (Cash Money Bucking Bulls ) with 87.5 points.
Campos was hot in the championship round, earning his second straight round win and securing the title in the final when he edged out the White Faces (Schuler/Petra Bucking Bulls) by 88 points.
Frost and Campos earned their ticket to the season’s highlight event inside the American Bank Center of Montanha, Dawson Brandon (Jefferson, Oregon) and Nick Tedts (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) to the World Finals.

Montanha and Brandon are ranked No. 1 in the Velocity Tour global standings. 2 and No. advanced. 4 drivers, as Teds earned his first career finish at the PBR World Finals.

Returning to the event leaderboard, Edney Caminhas (Indiaduba, Brazil) did not break his record as the oldest PPR World Finals qualifier by finishing second. In 2022, Caminhas became the oldest rider at the age of 46 to advance to the World Finals after advancing to the Velocity Tour Finals.
This season, Caminhas enters the championship round having moved up 85.75 points on the Big Kiwi. McCall) in Act 2.
Risky Business (W Hooke Ranch) ended Caminhas’ bid for the world final on the last lap when he beat the 2002 world champion by 1.56 seconds.
