FRANKLIN, Tenn., Nov. 3, 2022 // – The Simmons Bank for Snedeker Foundation has received rave reviews over the past two years from KornFerry players, supporters, fans, tourists and the Middle Tennessee community. The tournament has now been given upgraded status on the Corn Ferry Tour tournament schedule.

In October, the Korn Ferry Tour released the 2023 Series, officially announced by Simmons Bank for the Snedeker Foundation, which will be one of four Korn Ferry Tour events held in September next season.

The 2023 SimmonsBank Open will be held Sept. 14-17 at TheGroveClubinCollegeGrove, Tenn. The tournament will join the Albertsons Boise Open, the Columbus, Ohio Children’s Hospital Championship and the Korn Ferry Tour Championship as the KFT Finals.

As one of the final events on the Corn Ferry Tour, the 2023 Simmons Bank Open will be broadcast on the Golf Channel all four days, giving the tournament more national exposure. Fans and sponsors will also be treated to hospitality at the facility.

The Simmons Bank Open continues to benefit the Snedeker Foundation, founded by 2012 FedExCup champion and Nashville native Brandt Snedeker and his wife, Mandy. The tournament contributed $250,000 to the Snedeker Foundation following the 2021 tournament. Over 10 years, the Snedeker Foundation has donated more than $1 million to various Middle Tennessee charities.

Simmons Bank supports charitable causes outside of the Open Snedeker Foundation. At Wednesday’s event, the Simmons First Foundation presented five $10,000 checks to charities associated with Friday’s opening ceremony Friday of tournament week. The Jordan Thomas Foundation, KultureCity, Safe Haven Family Shelter, First Tennessee and Our Children were on hand to receive these donations for their organizations. Second Harvest Food Banks raised an additional $10,000 in honor of tournament volunteers. The Tennessee Golf Foundation, Hattie W and Simmons Bank pledged $10 for each volunteer at the 2022 tournament. More than 300 volunteers helped out at the tournament.
The Corn Farm Tour has announced that it will host four finals in August, each with a $1.5 million tournament purse. The finals will have an elimination format similar to the PGATour’s FedExCupPlayoffs. The FirstFinals will feature 156 players, the Simmons Bank Open 144 players and the third event 120 and 75 for the finals at the end of September. Thirty (30) PGA Tour cards will be awarded at the conclusion of the finals.
