Tash has just released the first single from their upcoming EP, “James Dean,” due out later this year. This will be the first time the new music will be performed live to North American fans.
“James Dean” is a powerful and heartfelt song about self-reflection and change. It’s a heartfelt tribute to realizing who your true friends are and having the courage to cut ties with people who don’t add value to your life. The song is driven by a strong guitar riff and a steady beat, while TASH’s soulful vocals make you think about your relationship and how you can make the changes you need to move forward in life.
Tash started playing guitar at the age of three after receiving an instrument from his late grandfather. From there, TASH began to acquire additional instruments such as piano, keyboard, synth, bass, drums, percussion, rhythm generation, sampling, beatboxing, trumpet, saxophone, flute, mandolin, oud, harmonica, lacquer steel, and panpipes. Tash has developed a unique playing style that includes a percussive guitar and fingerpicking style to match his vocal range, which spans five octaves. TASH and his team also designed a custom loop station to meet the demands of a complex and unique performance style.
Tash Sultana National Tour: Dates Selling Out Everywhere
It all started with a refusal to conform to mainstream society; This led the young artist to pubs and clubs and then to the streets of Melbourne, where they engaged show-stopping crowds on Melbourne’s famous Burke Street. From there, 2016’s viral bedroom recording “Jungle” took the artist off the road and into the world.
TASH broke attendance records for a sold-out world arena tour, selling out Red Rocks Amphitheater for the second time in just five minutes. In 2019 alone, TASH sold over half a million tickets worldwide. TASH’s second album, ARIA No.1 Terra Firma, comes three years after their ARIA-winning debut album FLOW STATE.
In 2022, Tash released a special MTV Unplugged (Live in Melbourne) album featuring a live performance recorded in an outdoor chapel in Melbourne. The recording is an intimate look at the artist flourishing in his natural element. Tash’s stripped-down MTV show is the most successful of any Australian artist to date, with shows shared in over 160 different countries.
