The free game, presented by KIOTI Tractor, will be held in Mayfield, Kentucky at Mayfield High School’s CFSB War Memorial Stadium, the site of the 2021 tornado that killed more than 50 people and displaced thousands of residents in the process. “Somewhere in America: A Concert For Mayfield” is open to the public and seeks to remember, honor and recreate Mayfield’s hometown and the spirit of all who call it home.

Named after the Adkins collaboration “Somewhere in America”, written by John Knight, Hunter Phelps, Michael Hardy and Zach Crowell, the song and support date hail from small-town America.
“We were looking for a place to record this song on our new album, which is called ‘Somewhere in America,’ and the song is about how in America there are cruel, patient people, and we can’t think of a better place than Mayfield, Kentucky,” Adkins explained today. “So right now, I talked to Commissioner [Cathy] Onan, and she’s working really well, so we’ll go to Mayfield and give it to them later.”

“There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to the people of Mayfield, Kentucky for Strice Adkins coming here on May 20th to perform in his musical ‘Somewhere in America,'” Onan said. “In December 2021, an EF4 tornado hit and destroyed our small town, and we were like the people in one of the first lines of that song – ‘The whole town came in their work boots and picked it up.’ This is Mayfield – and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate our passion with Trace Adkins’ film!”
